Music Software : iTunes and Winamp
When it comes to having music on your computer there are two main contenders, iTunes and Winamp. These two music software programs are free for you to download which makes things even better.
iTunes by Apple is a well respected music software program where you can load all your favorite CDs in to the multi media player, it can hold thousands of tracks and put them in order of artist, song and album. iTunes also lets you rate your collection and you can simply click on to "My Top Rated" and you will get instant access to your top rated music collection. Not only that but iTunes has other features that you will find attractive.
With the release of the newest version of iTunes 7 you have access to you library which includes : Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts and Radio. You also have the iTunes store where you can download music.
The playlist includes some great features too. With all your music collection stored in the iTunes player you can click on to the party shuffle for hours of listing to your whole music collection in a random order which will go down well at, well, I guess, at parties.
Next on the list is 90īs music which catorgarizes which songs in your music collection were released in the 90īs. Quite a cool feature unless you hate 90īs music. Music videos are also available in your playlist so you can watch all your favorite music videos whenever you want.
Some more great features include Recently Added music so you can see what you have just loaded in to you music collection and play the Recently Played to repeat the songs you have just enjoyed listening to. Finally comes the Top 25 Most Played songs so you see what music you consider your favorite type of music you are listening to at the present moment.

Next up we have Winamp media player. Winamp has upgraded itīs new music software product which lets you choose the look of your media player with diffent skins so you can have a new look whenever you wish.
Similar to that of iTunes, Winamp has a music libary which includes Audio and Video. Again you have you choices of most played tracks, your recently added tracks, recently played, never played and top rated.
Winampīs radio is in the form of Shoutcast Radio which gives you an alphabetical list to choose from. Simply click on a letter and a list of music from that letter will come up then you simply choose what kind of music you want to listen to. Unlike conventional radio you donīt get any talking or news reports. All you get is constant music. So if you like soul musci you can listen to soul music all day with no interruptions, Fantastic! The Shoutcast TV lets you watch different TV channels from all over the place, again choose what you like to watch, comedy for example, and enjoy the shows.
The remote audio and video option lets you upload any of you music and videos on to the web or mobile phone plus a whole load of other options. There is also the Winamp Music which gives you options of listening to some new music and download it on to your player. The AOL Video gives you more with Videos, TV, Movies, News and a lot more. Winamp also lets you play online games such as poker, multiplayer games, blackjack, scabble and a whole lot more.
